Nothing shows what Mr Pacino has become better than that picture. You can only see his head because there is no scenery left

Release date now October 31:

BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Next Bond film gets early release

Explanation of title, plus small plot spoiler:

In January, Craig said the title Quantum of Solace made reference to how Bond's heart was broken at the end of Casino Royale.

"Ian Fleming had written about relationships," he said.

"When they go wrong, when there's nothing left, when the spark has gone, when the fire's gone out, there's no quantum of solace.

"And at the end of the last movie, Bond has the love of his life taken away from him and he never got that quantum of solace."

Craig said the new film would follow 007 as he goes out "to find the guy who's responsible" for her death.

Has anyone seen the recent reports for this flick? A $220 million budget? A half hour pre-title action sequence? It all seems too much to follow what Casino established.

I've heard that the half-hour pre-title sequence rumor was bebunked. Apparently, the people who reported it saw the crew filming a bunch of stunts in one place and assumed they were all from the pre-credits sequence. At least a few of the stunts from that shoot are confirmed to be showing up later in the movie.

I think it would be cool if the pre-title sequence consisted of the last moments of Casino Royale i.e. Bond capping Mr. White, "The names Bond... James Bond." then the titles... it would be short and an effective little reminder of Casino Royale.

Indeed.

I read a similar article, but without a picture, and from the description I thought "It sounds like a good lair". And now I've seen that photo, I'm completely convinced now.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the unlucky week the crew is having with the bond car crashing into the lake on the way to filming and then a stunt man being critically injured in a rollover.

They did the same thing with "Casino Royale" and the movie came out, was enormously successful AND practically flawless.

Looks like it's pretty action packed. Not sure if I like the way it looks visually though.

What Casino Royale did was it had the balls to add some nice color to its palette - something action movies these days seems a bit devoid of. The above preview looks kinda contrasty and seems to have limited everything to blue, orange, and beige.

That looks very cool. I've been wondering when the trailer was going to get a release, I was expecting it around May-June, better late than never though.
