Blu-Ray to Projector = Blank (Black) Screen (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am trying to connect an Samsung BD-P4600 Blu-ray player to a BENQ PB8253 digital projector.

The signal chain is as follows:

Blu-Ray Player --> HDMI cable --> DVI adapter --> Projector

My projector detects a DVI signal but all that displays is a blank (black) screen. Strangely, I hooked the same projector up to a WD TV HD Media Player through the exact same signal chain and the image displays perfectly. Similarly, my Blu-ray player plays fine through an HDMI cable into a Panasonic th-50ph12u TV.

Any suggestions?

Maybe you have the wrong DVI adapter. There's DVI-I and DVI-D. Did you check all the player settings?

Your symptoms are consistent with the projector not supporting HDCP. (I couldn't find a manual on the Web, so I couldn't verify that. The BENQ file server is timing out.)
