Okay, I have my Gladiator out. It's the 2 disc version with Distributed by Warner Home Video on the top of the UPC. The copyright date on the back is 2010.
Thanks!.. it looks like they have also released a version with Gladiator + Braveheart + Saving Private Ryan, and I have to assume this is the remastered version. Not to mention, it's a great deal if you don't mind packaged titles that don't really have much in common.
Wondering about that blu ray of Willy. I already have the DVD (widescreen version). Is there anything worth having that some other edition of the blu ray has? This is sure cheap... Well, reading up it seems all the extras are the same from the DVD anniversary edition. Not really needed. For the book version of the blu ray you get a book. For the non-book version you don't. Interesting...
Target has a bunch of Blu movies for $5 (or $4.75 depending if there is a sale) and has for quite a while. I always think it will end but it was still there a week ago.
I bought Winter's Bone on blu ray some time ago from Walmart for $5. They had a big display with all kinds of stuff. One of my most recent regrets was not getting 1 of almost everything from that display. I went back to get more and everything was gone. btw, very good film. Looks like it could have been filmed right around here. :p
If you pre-ordered Who Framed Roger Rabbit some time ago, I would check that it is the correct version. I originally placed my order back in December through Amazon (when the title was first announced and available to order). Between then and now, a second version must have been listed. The version I ordered is now listed as Blu-Ray in DVD packaging. The lower priced one in today's posting is a Blu-Ray in Blu-Ray packaging. I know when I ordered it, there was no 'packaging' distinction - I merely ordered the Blu-Ray. Fortunately, because it was Amazon, it was easy to cancel the first order and re-order the new listing.
