A Critters box set is also my bet. I hope they finally get that Roger Ebert commentary and the Critters : A Retrospective as narrated by Orson Welles.

I say AOTC review. It's not really that early for a major release. It's been done before.

Could be FOTR SE, but I just wonder if they are even done with it considering the rush work they had to do to meet that release date as it was.

Of course, it could be E.T. or Saturday Night Fever (Paramount has always been friendly with HTF and knows our demand for SNF. I can see Martin wanting to get that to us early).

I must be nuts. I've searched up and down the main page. Where do you guys see this announcement?

Like Carl, I couldn't see the "Big Suprise" announcement on the front page. Maybe we are both going crazy?

For those that can't see the announcement for Friday, I can guarantee you that it was there last night before they updated the forums.

I know the announcement...
Battlefield Earth - The GOOD Version
Featuring apology message from John Travolta and "scathing" commentary by America's top critics.

Apology message like the Postman DVD had on the Simpsons? Lisa listening to the commentary and it was mostly Kevin Costner apologizing

Guys,
You kill me.
You know, I took down that SURPRISE announcement
the other day because I thought it was silly. I
had forgotten about it until I read this thread.
I hate to disappoint you guys. There is no
AOTC review. Those one or two websites that
have reviewed the DVD, have stolen copies (see
THE DIGITAL BITS for news). Regular reviews
probably will not start appearing until October.
The movie I am reviewing is Grease. That
is the surprise. I don't like to always announce
what my review plans are because of friendly
competition amongst websites to get a review up
early.
Sorry to disappoint you all. I should not have
put up anything about a surprise, but I didn't
want to announce all my review plans for the week.

I was thinking that the suprise review was that Paramount had given special permission for an early review of Saturday Night Fever, since that's Ron's dream movie:

I see I was close. Someone was asking for a Grease review in another thread, too...

I will have an early review of Saturday
Night Fever, but only under Paramount's
guidelines for posting.
Love that picture! :)

That's listed at bestbuy.com in the pre-orders section.
Edit:
I SWEAR I saw it there but now I cannot find it, nor can I recreate how I got to it. I wonder if it was removed OR I did not notice "VHS" next to the title...:frowning:

I just wanted to say that I think Ron looks super-cool in that white suit!
