BFD - Rack mount tabs - Removal? (1 Viewer)

I know you can just pop them off, but that leaves the sides of the case open.
Anyone find a good solution?
Right now, I have 3 things I'm thinking about:
1. Cut them off with the jig saw
2. Get some alumnium stock at the hardware store, and make replacements
3. Get a small 3 place Rack, and a maybe a rack mount drawer or something to go with it.

Any other ideas, suggestions?

I used ... black electrical tape.

Let us know what you end up doing as I'd be interested.

Thats really funny, as a temporary fix I wrapped them in black electrical tape too!

I think I’d go the aluminum stock route and make covers for the sides.

Chris- That "temporary" fix has lasted me 3 1/2 years and first a DSP-1100p, then to a DSP-1124p.
