Auto switching through HDMI? (1 Viewer)

Trying to figure out how to expand this useful feature.
Pioneer VSX-32, Sony BD-S580, Cisco DVR cable box (Comcast)
All connected through HDMI, outputting to a Samsung DLP
Anyway, if I turn on the BluRay player, the receiver switches to that input automatically from whatever it is set to.
The cable box does not cause the receiver to switch. Is there a way to control this function?
