Someone on a newsgroup suggested this, and I'm surprised it hasn't been brought up yet. The long rumored movie isn't going to happen anytime soon thanks to Enterprise, so why not an animated series? Stockwell isn't doing too much these days, and Bakula can voice it in off season.

It'll also be the perfect fit to see just how 'adult' adult swim can get with their first Drama/Comedy mix series. It'll also be their first hour show..

Anyone going to San D Comic Con and suggest it to the Williams Street folks who are in charge of Adult Swim?

Nah...don't they have a new animation devision with a whole decent budget just submitted? All they have to do is higher a crew of Japanese Animators, or a Japanese company to do the animation and it'll look great .

Do you want the show to look like Sealab? That's what would happen on an adult swim budget. There's a reason you don't see hour cartoons.

No way this would ever work. This is not the kind of show that would fit in with Adult Swim at all. It's also not a series that would lend itself to animation well, nor would most of the audience who enjoyed QL be attracted to it, especially at 11PM+
