Hopfully I'm using the right wording...

But...

Will a Onkyo 75 WATT TX595 put out MORE power than a Kenwood 100 WATT 509?

Please DO NOT get on the Onkyo versus Kenwood thing... I just am trying to make up my mind between a Onkyo 595 or a Kenwood VR-510 (maybe a VR-509)...

I plan on getting Jamo Satalites so I don't really think I need TONS of power to drive satalites...

Thanks!!!

The Onkyo is High Current while the Kenwood I believe is not. I also believe the Onkyo is rated 75W at the full frequency spectrum at 8 Ohms while the Kenwood is rated at 1 KHz. and at 6 Ohms.

However, these figures aside, you should do a direct comparison on good speakers and see which one starts clipping at what volumes. Also how these receivers sound in HT and music and then buy the one you like.
