I'm helping a coworker of mine buy a TV, and I'd like some opinions about Philips. The reason we're looking at Philips is that we get a discount through our work. He's looking at a 32 or 36 incher, possibly High-Def. Here are the models:

32" - 32RF82S
32" HD - 32PT830H
36" - 36RF82S
36" HD - 36PT842H

As a comparison, I own the 36" Sony HD set. (36HS500)

If anyone owns these or can provide any insight into Philips tubes in general, it would be much appreciated.

No bump!

(Thursday afternoons are slow in some areas.)

Philips direct-view sets (HD-capable) receive generally excellent reviews in the A/V press as well as favorable notices here at HTF. Of the ones I've seen, I could be quite happy with their performance.

I have a PixelPlus set and find it to have a really good picture on NTSC signals. HDTV looks great too.
I like PixelPlus so much, I almost never watch DVDs in progressive. I usually just use PixelPlus and think it looks great.
