I had been planning on buying the AVR 1905 once upon a time and it looks like the 2106 is a couple notches better.

I'm surprised I haven't found any reviews or owner comments on the forum.

Any comments for or against?
Thanks!

Darren, for what it's worth, I have a much-earlier version of the receiver in my bedroom system: the AVR-1803 (the 2003 model, succeeded by 2004's 1804, 2005's 1905, and, now, this model, the 2106). All I can say is that the receiver has performed perfectly over the two and a half years in the system; it's perfectly reliable and does a really nice job.

There are plenty of Denon fans here at HTF.

Don't have any direct experience either but it looks like the 2106 fills the same spot in their line that the 2802 did when I bought one in, I think, 2004. Rock solid piece of gear worth every penny :emoji_thumbsup: and were I in the market again there's a very good chance I'd just pick another Denon AVR without a second thought. And IMHO the specs on the 2106 are impressive for the price.

Just picked up a 2106 at the store yesterday. Got it for $550. I couldn't pass that up... Can't wait to get it hooked up!

Audiovideologic.com

(which happens to be a local store for me)

Last I knew the sale ended a few days ago, but maybe they still have it marked down.

Guys - the 1905 and all that are a different series.

There was a 2105 before, and now the 2106.

The 21 series is 'better' than the 19 series.

BTW, it is very nice, enjoy!
