So Solaris is out. Any chance we will get Stalker on Blu-ray from Criterion?

The Mirror is out in Russia, alas no English subtitles. Kino reportedly has plans to release it in the US later this year.

Last year, on their facebook page, Kino said they do not have the Blu-ray rights for Stalker. But, like I said, that was last year, so who knows what, if anything, has changed.

On January 29th Film at Lincoln Center will show a new restoration of The Mirror (1975) by Janus Films. We shall see if Criterion might release this on Blu-ray.

Still a virtual line-up though. Looking forward to when normal service will be resumed and their magazine Film Comment will return.

Someone on the Criterion Forum claims they know someone doing a special feature for Criterion and that it is due in early February. If true, I figure it will be announced either February or March.
