I have alot of respect for Hung. I honestly think he was trying his best, you could really tell he put work into the dance moves. Even though his part makes me laugh, I don't think I could ridicule him like Keith, or that guy last year that followed them to 3 auditions (Ed or something like that). He gave his all, and tried his best, with no sense of ego. Hung has what 99% of Idol auditioners desparatly need to find.

So we get to see some more of the contestants that made it through to the next round from all of the initial audition sites.

I'm at the point where if I see someone with a big loud voice, I just cringe because most of them still don't know what to do with it yet.

And Edgar was back again!

Enjoyed all the rejection tirades.

The guy who did the Right Said Fred song (I'm a Model) was disturbing in his performance/pornformance as he did it just to support his girlfriend who did make it.

OK, I have to say I liked the “subwoofer"’s voice. Yeah it was funny/weird, but when you listen to it, she does have something there if she can develop it a bit more(kinda reminds me of Marlene Dietrich). No she wasn’t great, but was at least different enough to be more interesting than several of the ones they sent forward.

As far as the ones that went to Hollywood, I’m partial to the Native American girl from North Carolina. Hopefully her accent won’t hurt her when/if she gets to the final 32.

The last 4 or 5 shows, I have heard high frequency static whenever they play the theme song. I've heard it on some other Fox shows, but not on any other channel.

I'm on digital cable. Anybody else heard this or is it me?

I can't believe they dropped Scooter Girl, but I am very relieved they got rid of Kiss-up Alan (the girl chaser). Most of the ones I expected to make the F32 did, with that one exception.

Maybe things will pickup with the F32 since they haven't shown us everything, but so far this year's talent seems to drag behind both of the previous seasons.

Amy Adams is one of my early picks. She's the one with the fuschia colored hair.

Fantasia's voice is too hysterical for me.

It probably has something to do with the editing, but I find it mildly amusing the way the judges excoriate anyone who actually follows their advice. There was "Joe Rose Bowl", who after listening to complaints to the assembled group about how they needed to come through with more personality and a sense of fun, did exactly that and was subsequently accused of "not taking the competition seriously". There was "Scooter Girl" who was given so much contradictory advice about what they wanted from her that she should be re-dubbed "Yo-Yo Girl". I could probably come up with 2-4 more if I thought about it.

Yup yup. Sums up my feelings exactly.

Also, as Ken said, ScooterGirl really got some seriously contradictory advice. Perhaps it was the editing, but it didn't feel like it was.

What I'm curious about is that "BikiniGirl" (Lisa?)... the one who A)was cavorting with Alan and B) was nowhere to be seen for her group. She's still in, but we didn't see her solo in the latest round? I'm kinda sorry she's still about, as she obviously (at least as far as we, the audience, see) isn't serious.

ScooterGirl getting cut sucks though...

I think just the opposite, I think this years talent pool is very deep, why else wood scooter girl get canned?

She could sing. They must have a deep bench to let her go. We have yet to really sample anyone, I can't even recognize 50% of the final 32, the producers have held back and we could really see some challenging competetions in the upcoming weeks. I predict the toughest deciding rounds yet.

The Big Rap Guy from Hawaii made it thru and Scooter Girl did not, it seemed like they tried to "pad" the guys a bit as the girls seem a lot more quality this year, despite what Simon said about an all Girls top 12.

Perhaps the people who made it but weren't really shown before weren't very interesting but showed the judges that they had the talent and the drive. Before yesterday, I don't remember seeing Matt Metzger at all, as well as Erskine Walcott. I don't understand why Scooter Girl was cut as well.

While I agree that scooter girl had a great voice, everything else about her screamed broadway at me. I could easily see her on stage in any manner of muscial comedy but not really as a pop star.

I missed last nights episode, but was 'scooter girl' the one that Simon said was a comedian with a good voice? If so, I'm glad she got cut, or whomever that was. Most annoying personality ever.

Scooter girl's choice of songs were not all that good. Whenever she had the chance to go "showy", she did, which didn't help her in the eyes/ears of the judges, who are looking for a more commercially appealing voice, not the Broadway show voice that Scooter Girl put on dislay throughout the auditions.

I thought it was very odd that they never showed her last night. Also how does the twins and the red headed guy who couldn't remember any of his lyrics make it, yet the guy with the long side burns who fforgot only a few lyrics not make it.

Some people have surmised that the judges have "stacked the deck" in putting through contestants that won't make it through to the top 12, so they did the dirty work themselves and cut out some "competition" to get down to the final 32 to protect their "faves".

Well this week we finally got to see what Paula was talking about, in regards to the girl she called "affected". Wow, what a self-centered spoiled little brat.
