Adobe Lightroom
Just caught wind of this one and downloaded the beta (sorry Windows users, only available for Macs). Looks like it's Adobe's answer to Aperture and provides a great way for pro/hobbyist photographers to manage their digital photographs and process RAW images.
I haven't used Aperture so I can't compare the 2. But it could certainly be a nice replacement to iPhoto which I use to manage all of my photos (editing still done in Photoshop).
Despite the fact that it is only a beta release it feels very solid. Then again I've only used it for about 15 minutes so far. Although I do miss the tight integration with Apple's other iLife apps.
If anyone else has had the chance to "kick the tires" chime on in with your experiences.
