Michael TLV,

Which one is correct? Gamma does seem "better" in MOVIE mode, with more mid level detail with the exact same values for brightness and contrast.

I would like to know too. I guess Movie is not really a pure mode since even the gamma effect is considered "artificial."

Also, I believe one is supposed to calibrate brightness, contrast, etc. in MOVIE and PRO mode separately using Avia, for example.

I re-checked again --- and the two are pretty close. However, as mentioned, there is a little better sharpness and gamma with MOVIE mode.

Mike,

My ISF tech calibrated my set with the reference generator instead of DVD player. Does this also throw things off for DVD?

I never really got around to it but is there a way to fix the slight geometry problems near the left side of my set? It seems to shrink down or compress the picture slightly when it gets near the end of the screen. Its really only noticeable when there's a CNN ticker or the like on it, but it bugs me. Is there a fix?
