Since he worked in both movies and TV, I figured I would post this here.

I just found out that Ron Silver has died today at the age of 62. Apparently, he was battling cancer for a while. Today, it claimed him.

Needless to say, I'm shocked. He didn't seem like he was ill, but one never knows what can happen.

    Sincerely,

    John Kilduff...

Here's a news story that confirms it: RON SILVER DIES - New York Post

He also did a superb job as the crusading attorney in Reversal of Fortune. He improved on the original Dershowitz.

He was so much in demand for film and TV that he didn't get to do much stage work, but when he did, he was amazing. I saw him in the original Broadway production of Mamet's Hollywood satire, Speed-the-Plow, opposite Joe Mantegna, and he blew the house down. He won a Tony award for the role.

A great performer and a colorful personality.
