The Guardian (1990), is a film directed by William Friedkin, based upon the novel, The Nanny. Most every quality filmmaker makes a film or two that isn't stellar. And this is one of them.
It's about a Druid, who works as a nanny, and who seems to travel with a large tree, into which... Best not to ruin it for you.
This is one of those cases where fans of the film are in for a treat, as the Blu-ray, for Universal delivered a quality master to Scream Factory.
There are some lessons to be learned from The Guardian. Probably the most important, and this is not meant to be directed to anyone as anti-religious, but it's best not to hire a Druid as a nanny. They tend to have odd needs, and don't always fit into a normal family setting. Best to ask the question straight out in an interview.
"What is your religion?"
If it's most anything except Druid, or possibly some zombie sect, you're probably safe.
