    Finally got to see this on 35mm (a very nice studio archive print) last night and I'd have to say that other than the fact that the Blu-ray could have utilized a spiffier print (i.e. less scratched) it's a pretty faithful rendering of the original look of the film; that said, on the disc, I still detect a little more noise in the image than I would like. The film was shot inexpensively, with an eye towards achieving a docu-authentic look and, based on those conditions, the print was fittingly dark and grainy overall. I'm much happier to see the disc the way it looks now rather than the smoothed-over appearance of so many other Uni Blu-rays.
