Actually, what I may do, after reading another post on audioholics about this subject, is just eventually get a second sub.

Exactly. Limiting what a subwoofer is going to cover, improves playback.You could even expound on that concept by adding in a crossover between the Yamaha and the two subs. Another crossover would cost $100-$150.Sent from my LG-P769 using HTF mobile app

I have been looking into using multiple subs to cover the bass region from 120hz down. I have three 12" subs I want to cover 120hz to 30hz. Then I have five 18" subs and a 21 to cover everything from 30hz to subsonic. One design has a box tuned to 10hz. The Rolls SX21 crossover may be the 2-way sub crossover I use (under $70 from Amazon).
