    It was supposed to be the movie of the traditional Lionel Barrymore radio version, but he was just being confined to his wheelchair by that time, so they ended up hiring Admiral Boom instead.

    Neither one will ever be Alastair Sim, though.

    I love Barrymore's version. At an early age I had an LP and latter it was re-released on a CD. I have that that on an LP and then found it on legit CD. It's always on my iPod during the season. It is a classic.
