I'm voting with Peter Fitzgerald for THE FLIM-FLAM MAN and THE GUNFIGHTER, and with Mark TS for THREE WOMEN and KAGEMUSHA (the 3 hrs. version). Plus my own list which includes :
ZORBA THE GREEK ( 1964)
THE WEDDING BANQUET (1993)
HARRY AND TONTO (1974)
WHO IS HARRY KELLERMAN (1971)

My Fox wishlist includes the Laurel and Hardy features from the '40's, the Mr. Moto films with Peter Lorre, and of course the marvelous Charlie Chan films.

Whatever happened to True Lies Sp.Ed.? I'm sure I read Van Ling saying it was all but ready some time ago.I really miss those 5 Star sets ( but thanks for Alien Quadrilogy ) Please can we have anamorphic widescreen extra features ( a la 'Lord of the Rings').

Thanks much, Fox, for finally giving ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. a DVD release in R1 (a couple of months from now)!

This being the case, that particular hole in my Fox DVD "want list" can now be filled by a request for Henry Hathaway's fine suspense-western, RAWHIDE (1951), starring Tyrone Power and Susan Hayward (and the late, great Jack Elam, playing one of his creepiest goons ever). Thanks for listening.

Mark - WALKABOUT has been available on DVD from Criterion for years. Although non-anamorphic, it has excellent picture quality, a commentary by Nicolas Roeg, and a trailer.

When Fox talks about possible classic titles they should include titles from the 30's and 40's like:
The Rains Came-Tyrone Power/Myrna Loy
In Old Chicago - Tyrone Power/Alice Faye
Alexander's Ragtime Band - Tyrone Power/Alice Faye
Moon over Miami - Betty Grable/Alice Faye
Heaven Can Wait-Don Ameche/Gene Tierney
Leave Her to Heaven-Gene Tierney
Call Northside 777 - James Stewart
Margie - Jean Crain
Sitting Pretty - Clifton Webb/Maureen O'Hara
Black Swan - Tyrone Power/Mauren O'Hara
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn - Dorothy McGuire
One in a Million - Sonja Henie/Don Ameche
Yellow Sky - Gregory Peck/Anne Baxter
Wilson - Bio of Woodrow Wilson
Keys of the Kingdom - Gregory Peck
Laura - Dana Andrews/Gene Tierney/Clifton Webb
The Gang's All Here - Alice Faye/Carmen Miranda
Les Miserables- Fredric March/CharlesLaughton

Come on Fox and open your vault doors wide to allow many of your classics onto DVD. There is a buying audience for more than one title a month.

Unfortunately Fox has still said nothing about when or if the mysteriously delayed Laura will be coming to dvd. :frowning:

Another vote for Scavenger Hunt here. I'll settle for a barebones release to offset the probable high cost of actor residual payments. The cast was HUGE!
