2010 BD

    It's 2010, the Year We Make Contact!

    I was curious if there was an actual date mentioned in the film 2010 that the film does take place in 2010. I guess the only mention is Dr. Floyd saying that 9 years ago, the Monolith showed up and everything went wacko!

    I was just curious if the film has a specific date for the flight back to Jupiter to find Discovery 1. I can check the novel of course. I may watch the BD again that day.

    I, indeed, watched 2010 last night. Now, I need a new sequel....

    I'll probably watch it a little later.

    It would be interesting if they got Gary Lockwood to come back for 3001: The Final Odyssey. I enjoyed the book a lot, but I thought the ending was a tad of a disappointment,
