Shout! Factory must wrap up That Girl. I can't have enough of the Impeccable Hair of Ted Bessell on my shelf.

Great list, Brian. You have my 70's "big 3" on that R1 unreleased list. It's the reason I went Region-Free a couple of years ago.

The top five plausibles:

1. The Invaders
2. The Green Hornet
3. Sea Hunt
4. Thriller
5. The Defenders

The top five long shots:

1. The Rebel
2. The Loner
3. Wagon Train
4. T.H.E. Cat
5. Hong Kong

And yes, continuation of 50s - 70s era sets that coming out at too lethargic a pace to find me confident of a complete series release ("Rawhide", "Untouchables", "Night Gallery", Alias Smith & Jones", "The Fugitive", et al).

Here are the shows that I'd love to see come to DVD in 2008:

1. Superboy - Seasons 2-4
Season 2 will most likely get released to promote Superman: The Man of Steel in 2009, but I'm still hoping WB releases Season 2 sometime next year. The Man (or in this case, the Boy) of Steel is such an iconic character of popular culture, WB should not miss the oppurtunity to make big bucks off the sales for the remaining 3 seasons, which are infinitely and arguably better than Season 1. Though I still enjoyed Season 1.:)

2. SpongeBob SquarePants - Season 5: Volume 2
I love nautical nonsense, and like any SpongeBob DVD, Season 5: Volume 1 gave me just that. I'm looking forward to Paramount giving the release info on Volume 2.

3. Marvel Action Hour Iron Man series
With the release of the highly-anticipated Iron Man movie next May, BVHE should release this final half of the Marvel Action Hour series on DVD (the other half being the Fantastic Four, which has already been released). Using a DVD set as a marketing tool is something that all studios should do, whenever possible.

I couldn't agree more. I bought at least 16 TV-DVDs last year and this year, I only bought 5. Lets hope that next year will be a better year for TV-on-DVD.

You just reminded me of a title I'd like to see released. I would like to see a complete series set for the 60's Fantastic Four cartoon. I have very fond memories of that show and it's the only FF cartoon I've watched. I caught an episode a few months ago on TV and my 6 year old nephew seemed to really enjoy it.

My wishes for releases are the same as last year that went unfulfilled. For 2008 I wish for:

—New regulations that make it less expensive and easier to license music.
—Studios to take advantage of recent technology (such as Kodak's Digital ICE) that has made restoration easier (reducing the number of man-hours involved), and using it for TV shows.
—If the WGA strike goes on, that studios dip deeper into their back catalogs for releases.
