Wisconsin got no love from the seeding committee.
They should have been a higher seed, but they can take solace in the fact that Pitt was not only dropped to a #3, but is required to play in what amounts to a home game for the conference champ Badgers in the second round. Talk about no love.

5-12 matchups can be dicey, and many people are targeting those matchups for upsets. UOP and Providence was one that I was on the fence, but decided that I'd go with Providence to survive an upset scare.

I was planning on picking Pitt to go all the way in our office pool. However, that 2nd round matchup vs. Wisconsin in Milwaukee has me reconsidering. I cannot believe the tournament committee would do that to a #3 seed, effectively creating a road game vs. a lower seed.

Does anyone know where I can a real time scoreboard that I can tuck away on the bottom of my screen kinda like the espn scroll bar on tv? Or anything like it? I would like to be able to keep an eye on the scores without having a full screen devoted to the scoreboard up on my pc so I can do other work.

I think Texas Tech may be the ones who take Saint Jo's out of the brackets.
I actually picked that too!

My final four is: Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Duke and Maryland.

I'm also considering but have wavered alot on the UConn vs Vermont game. That guy from Vermont impressed me alot. Then again I'm willing to bet the talent he faced wasn't so great..

granted, the America East conference isn't the toughest but that Copenrath guy at Vermont is the real deal...

I'm in and I'm going to the first rounds here in Raleigh...w00t !!

[side note] It's amazing how well the CIAA tournament was promoted here in Raleigh, even to the point of trying to see how to keep it in the area and also to get the ACC Tournament hosted here at the RBC Center. However, I've heard almost nothing about the NCAA's and I believe it's the first time its been hosted in Raleigh. If so then that is a shame.[/side note]
