Mobile version and the app allow for many more posts per page so how aout the regular website?

Its fixed on the main site/skin so it can't be varied per user. There were times that 30 felt like too much before, so we decided that 20 was a good middle of the road approach.
In my opinion, 30 was okay (preferred, in fact).
It sure would put a dent in the number of pages in some of the bigger threads.

30 felt like too much to who and unless it isn't unlimited why would 30, 50 or more be a problem?
30 is a good compromise but I actually set it to 50 when I can.

It's just silly that we only get 20 posts per page.
only 100 posts is already 5 pages.
There are topics that have thousands of posts, it's nuts that We cannot set
pages to more then 20.
Only 500 posts is 25 pages and 1000 is 100 pages.

Exactly.Typo, I had my calculator rightin front of me with 50.

I appreciate your preference, but its complicated to do at the moment. When we did the conversion we optimized a lot of things around the 20 posts per page. We are still slowly making tweaks to the site and we don't have the available bandwidth to re-optimize the site at the moment assuming we decided to make the change. There is a major software update coming in a few months (same platform, new version). While I'm not saying the change will be made, we will at least revisit it then.
