Okay, just filled up yesterday at a Chevron in Marina Del Rey that I know routinely is among the cheapest for Chevrons. 87 was $1.41 and 89 was 1.53. That's way cheaper than when I last filled up with 89 for something like $1.65.

Just got home and gas is 56.9 cents per litre here in Calgary. I don't know what that is in $/gallon but I do know that in Canada that's wicked cheap.

Anybody know why?

$1.29 in Orange County.
Here in good ole Louisville our wonderful gas stations just went up from $1.17 to $1.26
post #36 of 105
Texaco 87 octane was $1.01/ gal just outside the perimeter(Lawrencville Hwy) in Atlanta this morning. I did not see any of the $.97/gal gas that's been reported in the Atlanta area.

still $1.55 here, the news stations keep running stories about how gas prices are falling in the rest of the nation and how the west consistantly has the highest prices. i can understand a reasonable difference in price based on local taxes and transport costs, but a 55% difference is NOT reasonable.

$1.13 to $1.29: Detroit, MI

Hard to believe that was just 3 years ago Henry!
I paid $1.76 today and thought that seemed pretty good.
Holy cripes! I can't remember when I last saw gas anywhere near $1.00. Ten years ago, maybe.

I was excited to see it down to $2.09 today!
It's down to 1.68 here. Not too bad but getting better.
You are a crule man, Henry Gale, resurrecting this thread!

$1.68? Good grief, that's dirt cheap. It's $2.16 for regular in good ole upstate NY.
Oklahoma supposedly has the cheapest gas in the country(so I heard on the Tele).
Be glad you don't live in California (where our stricter emissions laws necessitate further gas refining...hence higher prices). I was thrilled when I was able to fill up at mid-grade for $2.35 this weekend...
That was a dirty, dirty trick ! i was soo happy until I saw the date on this thread
post #47 of 105
Am I living on Mars??

I just filled up @ $2.23/gallon for 87 unleaded and I was thinking that's pretty good.

I swear our local oil refineries here in the Bay Area bust up one of its pipes every so often just to jack up gas prices.

Edit: Oops, just saw the dates of previous posts :b Still, I am angry at gas prices here in California.
It's around 2.49 here in San Diego :-\
WTF? I filled BOTH cars today at 1.89 a gallon
post #50 of 105
I 'bout lost it for a moment 'till I saw the dates. Whew!

It's still around $1.82 here. It's come down some in the last week or two, but still higher than I'd like it to be.
Ugh, paid $1.87 today in SC, where gas is supposedly cheap. Not liking that at all...
Gas here (Edmonton, Canada) is around 80 cents a litre, not too much more than it was 3 years ago.

Seems like in the US prices have almost doubled in this time. Yikes.
$2.17 here. $.13 more a gallon and gas will offically be twice what it was when I bought my car

I think my next car will be a hybrid......
It's come down here in Augusta over the last week, regular is $1.72. Jump for joy!

Of course, I can remember when regular was $0.13 and the "hi-test" I bought for my 455 CID Pontiac was $0.19.
I just saw my 87 per gallon price drop from $2.05 to $2.04. I better fill up now while the gettin's good!
So, the new plan is to resurrect this thread every three years? Gotcha!
*Smacks the crap out of Henry Gale*

Its about $2.20 here in Sactown Cali.
Got $1.91 for regular in Abington, MA last night, and thought I was doing pretty good !
