Do you fear the imminent approach of Turkey Knapp? - Page 6

There's only, what now, 3-4 days left?
I think someone killed Turkey Knapp, and is looking for a reasonable facsimile to replace him.

(yey conspiracy theories!)

Its like a perverse, mental game of chicken.....er, turkey.

Was there ever an official reason given for Turkey Knapp's absence this year?
Ummmmm.......Errrrrr......looking for SantaKnapp !!

Yeah, that's it! SantaKnapp!

Hide your children, run for your lives! SantaKnapp only comes out once a year! I've seen evil personified and it's SantaKnapp!! Lock your doors!!! Close your windo...

Uhhhh.....

On second thought, never mind.

No Turkey Knapp this year
Maybe one of the mods can touch base with Ron and Parker....find out what happened. I'm a bit concerned now for the preservation of Turkey Knapp.
Perhaps there was a contractual problem or some sort of licensing issue. Is it possible that Turkey Knapp struck a deal elsewhere?
HDCP Turkey Knapp !!!!

Get an SSL connection with a DVI Monitor and you see him !

I'm afraid the Turkey Knapp will be only memory for those who are long-time HTF'ers.

Don't forget, Mike has his own forum, and it is loaded with many ex-HTF'ers who were sent packing because they didn't play nice, or decided to expand their horizons (including a mod or two) on a far more casually run forum. (Many of them have aired their dirty laundry on the forum).

Without this becoming a post that sounds like a 'memo from Ron', the HTF tries very hard to be presented in a professional manner, and the membership are guests of its owners, who ultimately have final say over what is allowed here by any member - that's why there are rules. Nobody gets paid to run or mod this place, and advertising is slim.

Having said that, auditions are now taking place for the role of HTF Turkey spawn...

Keith,

Unless something happened in the last few weeks, I don't think Mike's forum had anything to do with the missing Turkey-Knapp. Mike's forum has been around for years, and TK has been here for years. In fact, when I asked about the pumpkin icon for Halloween, Ron made it clear that TK was coming for Thanksgiving.

Of course, Ron and Parker could have changed their minds; it's just that no announcement was made.

O.K., so there can be a conflict of interest with Internet home-theater sites? Interesting.

Alright, Thanksgiving is over. Time to move on. Where are the HTF Christmas decorations?

I had nothing to do with the Turkey Knapp's exclusion this year. I have always been honored that it was used in the past.

But, as was said earlier...it is time to move on the the next holiday. Have a great Christmas everyone!

Actually Steven Spielberg convinced Ronbo and Packy to delete the image, as it contained graphic images of a musket! :p) ET - the ephemeral turkey.

Dennis, good one.

Dennis

No disrespect intended Mike! The T-K is missed. Moving on...
The horror will just be that much greater when TK returns next year...
Well, as we close out NOVEMBER... in the final hours... I glance upwards to the now-familiar logo in hope of a final sighting.

Not seeing one, I turn my head and cry.

***Alas, another 365 days of waiting in fear.***

Like those cheesy old ballads say:

You don't know what you got...til it's gone

Will look for the TK next year. And no, I don't believe in Bigfoot/Sasquatch, the Loch Ness Monster or The Easter Bunny. But I believe in the Turkey Knapp!

I'm so appalled I have decided to boycot Home Theater Forum.
Michael, I assume you are joking. Then again, if you aren't, you won't see this post.
Keith, of course I'm joking.

but I am appalled...
Is it possible Turkey Knapp has been transmogrified into Santa Knapp!?!? Or even worse.. Santa-Turkey Knapp?

Edit: Oh.. I see Jon already beat me to that joke... ah well, at least I got to use the word "transmogrify".
