I'm not worried, the Ref 50 is a great unit, just buy the Ref 50 and enjoy it now.

Sure is..

How ya liking the remote Jerr ? I already have all my gear plugged into it. I really like it alot.. great remote, great software. Lightyears ahead of the Atkis i got rid of! I'm just not sure how to put a macro together yet. I don't really need them but i'd like to do a couple..
The learn funtion is easy to use.

Can you say Pronto Pro
I must have the Rf now.
Maybe the Marantz RC9200 soon if the sale works.

The MX-700 is a fantastic choice by B&K.
Now maybe we will see the Rf upgrade for the
MX-700 in the months to come.
It was in beta as of cedia 2002

Any other reviews? This unit has been out for a few weeks and I have only read one or two reviews. Certainly there are others out there with opinions or comparisons to other units (Rotel 1066, Anthem avm 20, Aragon Stage one, Sunfire TGIII, etc.).

Brian,
You may need to give it some more time.
B&K has a very large worldwide sales network of dealers.
Dealers at this time are at tooth and nail just to get some of their fair share of pre-orders filled.
B&K is building all the new product in smaller runs at this time. They have a huge backorder to get caught up on.
My local dealer has around forty Ref 50's on pre-order alone. He has been getting maybe 3-5 every other week or so. And for him to get these few, he needs to plea and beg.

Remember B&K rolled out much more then just the Ref 50,
They have those two new AVR 507-505 receivers,
The new PT-5 pre, and a whole new line of amps!
What is it that you need to know?
I have the Ref 50 in my system.
I'm not one to make big fancy long reviews.
I have found nothing lacking in the performance of the Ref 50, (Not even one firmware/software bug so far)
Although I have not spent much time playing with it.
If you search B&K at AVS you will find a few current discussions about the Ref 50.
