The Best In-Wall Speakers???

Thread Starter
Hi,
I just joined, this is such a great forum!
I have some Polk Audio LS70 Floor Speakers and a CS350 Center. I love them but I'm a bit cramped for space. I had been considering getting some high end in-wall speakers but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed. I have a Denon 5800 reciever so I need something that will deliver.
Any suggestions?

I was told to go with Triad surrounds, which is what started this adventure into in-walls.
Thanks,
Ron

Triad, Genelec or Dynaudio all make great inwall speakers. After that the pickings become much slimmer IMHO. You may get a Thiel recommendation or two but they are thin and don't mate well with a sub IMHO.

You may also want to look at the James speaker line.

Ron, Welcome to the forum! there is a lot of knowledgeable people here with great info keep in mind just like anything else you have good and bad you can figure out the rest I am too looking at some in walls and what I am finding is that just about every speaker manufacture makes at least a few models of inwalls. You mentioned triad I would say they are top of the line along with snell, sonance, atlantic technology..... the list goes on it all comes down to how deep your pockets are. If you are looking at speakers in that range you will want to power them with expensive amps and preamps to do them justice. Take your time do a lot of listening, bring your own cds or movies and most of all enjoy yourself and choose what sounds best to you not what some one else says sounds the best.

Good luck, Bob

I haven't heard the others, but I am pleased with my 6.1 setup of B&W in-wall speakers.

Ron,
I went with the Sonance 622t for my front L&R and L&R surrounds, along with their amazing center channel speaker which they call the "MC". They are powered by a Yamaha HTR-5560 and I use the DLS sub. IMO Sonance is an AMAZING speaker!! I did audition many in wall's for a few weeks before coming to a decission. And if your pockets go that deep you can move up from the 622t! AMAZING!! Mike.

I like my Theater Solutions Symphony Series TSS8W - I know off brand and less expensive...however I couldn't argue with specifications and the Thiel-smalls...and the price was AMAZING...so I gave them a shot...they are Awesome! I love them. I know it is always comforting to go with the more expensive brand name...

We just couldn't afford $2200 on our surround sound system - we didn't even have to spend half that and we are very happy.

i bought some refurbished from bajawaverunner and they were ok but not perfect, i also bought new ones but did not record who i bought them and i had a better experience. for some reason the prices look like they went up but if you save the search for the urls 2's  and wait you will get notified when they appear, i have seen these for four hudred a piece and i woul advise you to get new ones especially where you are in the phillipinese.these speakers have a five year warranty and have delt with the company and they are very helpful. what are you going to use for powering these?

...a little besides the main topic, someone knows the "acoustic curtain"solution from a huge number of loudspeakers? The whole wall consist from single small loudspeakers. That should sounding perfect, especially in reverberant rooms.
