Worst Movies of All Time - Page 4

LOL, I wonder if the people who wrote this list consider Brittney Spears and N'sync some of the greatest musicians around?
Ummm...where's the Mummy Returns?? That sucked!!!
I might agree that The Mummy Returns sucked, but it's nowhere near the 100 worst movies of all time. That's the problem with this list.

I once went to a double feature showing Commando and the 30,000th remake of King Solomon's Mines starring Richard Chamberlain and Sharon Stone.

King Solomon's Mines was first and I swear if hadn't been part of a double feature, we would have walked out; after the first line in the movie no doubt. For goodness sake, it made Commando look like an Oscar contender!

This turkey should definitely be on the list.

Deathship Not a George Kennedy highpoint.
Welcome to Arrow Beach Laurence Harvey's swansong was not something to be proud of.

Messy, sloppy plot lines and dialog, and the editing-- argh!! The acting is atrocious and even worse than the original trilogy (they lack "heart"). CGI that looks extremely cartoony and lacks physicality. Hell, the original Jurassic Park had better CGI and that was in 1993, and by ILM!!

You fail to see the point. To truly appreciate the Star Wars movies, PLEASE see the original Flash Gordon serials. The SW movies deliberately take pointers from the serials. After all, George Lucas wanted to make SW into a Flash Gordon remake before Dino De Laurentis did his remake. (which became Star Wars)

Patrick:

I know full well the back story of Star Wars. And I dearly loved the original, untouched Trilogy (well, some parts of Jedi were a little hard to watch).

If, for the original trilogy, Lucas had just restored the negatives, completely cleaned up the opticals via digital compositing and color correction as well as the quality work Richard Donner and WB did with Superman: The Movie, had John Williams re-score the dated and compressed sounding music (especially A New Hope) with the London Symphony using the best digital audio recording technology of today, and fully remixed and enhanced the dialog and soundeffects to take advantage of today's digital surround then encoded it with DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 surround for home video (and then released them to DVD) I would have been grateful, snatched them up, and forgotten that the new trilogy even existed.

Knowing Lucas that ain't gonna happen.

That's what makes his new CGI abominations that much more painful to watch IMHO. I can't even get a high quality version of the untouched originals!

Oh, and Class of Nuke 'Em High by Troma was another classic piece of garbage.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre eh?
Well, some people don't like to be made to feel "ill at ease" and IMO no film does this more successfully then TCSM.

Scott - yes, WITHOUT WARNING is pretty bad.
Hey, any film that has a scene with David Caruso hanging from a meat hook can't be all bad!

Jennifer Lopez ("Angel Eyes")

? I thought she did a rather good job in that, IMO, underrated (and badly publicized*) film.

*If you try to publicize a character study as a supernatural thriller you are doing a disservice to the film & the movie going public.

Wait until you see the sequels.

Oh yeah. I almost forgot "What Dreams May Come".

I wanted to shoot myself in the head over this one. Did anyone bother to count how many close ups of Robin Williams crying they crammed into this drek?

Come to think of it, Robin Williams, who I like and respect, has probably appeared in more stinkers than any other Hollywood star of the past 20 years, anyone agree, or am I imagining this?
Steve, you do have a point regarding the amount of swill that Robin Williams has been in. However, I think Charlie Sheen can give him a run for his money.
I'll go with Robin over Charlie, I always felt his films fit his talent.

Patch Adams
Mrs Doubtfire
What Dreams May Come
The Survivors
Best of Times
Club Paradise
Hook
Jumanji
Toys
Being Human
Jack
Father's Day
Jakob the Liar
Bicentennial Man

A pretty impressive list of crap.

The Tin Drum
Tokyo Fist

It's quite obvious that the people that made this list haven't seen a lot of films. You've got to be a movie retard to include such films as: Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Natural Born Killers and Titanic on the worst list. The majority of the rest of them don't deserve to be on there either. I could pick at random 100 straight-to-video flicks that are far worse than the majority of these films. It sure seems that they were going for a lot of "name" films, while throwing in a few true stinkers.

A pathetic list that shouldn't be given a 2nd glance. MST-3000 has already dug up the worst of the worst, and given people a reason to watch them. No one else should even bother.
Hey, The Survivors and The Best of Times are pretty good movies!

Seriously!
Well, the IMDB list proves there's a deep stinker pot that we've never had the pleasure of sniffing! However, I'd like to give my vote to Blair Witch - someone talked me into seeing it(and I knew it was a POS going in) and wanted to leave 5 minutes in, but sat there with my 50 year old buddie and a packed theater of 16 year olds.
He never lived it down.
I've never said `Lets Go' so many times in my life.

That was my reaction too and I was watching it on rental DVD!
Still can't believe that one third of that movie consisted of an extreme close up of someone's nostrils, anyone want to use that image as their sig?
Don't worry Rain won't feel threatened... much.

One notably missing is my vote for worst film ever made: Star Trek V.
Oh my god, yes. I couldn't believe how bad a film they managed to make actually. You can never criticize ST:TMP when ST:V is around. I loved VI which helped wash out the bad taste.

I love Gods Must Be Crazy and recall it being rather well received critically at the time of its release.

Wild Wild West, yeah, I would keep that on there even if we expanded the list out to include more older films.
BTW, were Jury Duty or Jerky Boys on that list? If not, then it is again invalid.
Fear No Evil
I cant say thats a good list for bad movies at the begining of the thread,There are alot of films on the list that are actually quite good films, and would be on many peoples top 100 best movies list. Baby Geniuses was horrible,Where is Fast And Furious,it was HORRIBLE,those are 2 that come to mind over the past few years.I cant forget Speed 2 as being really bad.But Expect XXX to be another Junkfest.IT is Rob Cohen.
Thanks for posting that list, Steve. I just had blood shoot out of my nose when I read "Stop or my mom will shoot!"

I don't know if anyone posted this already (I'll admit, I jumped to the end of this thread rather than reading it in its entirety) but here is IMDB's worst 100:

The bottom 100 movies as voted by our users
post #115 of 117
Just wanted to defend The Gods Must Be Crazy and say that if I ever find these thestinkers.com people I'm gonna give em all a non-returnable Coke bottle enema!

I don't think anyone mentioned these stinkers from his purpleness;

Graffiti Bridge
and
Under the Cherry Moon
I would have to say the all time worst movie is the 1993-Karate Cop. It is the only movie I ever walked out on and I think it was only in theaters for one weekend
post #117 of 117
Fulci's City of the Living Dead (The Gates of Hell) was pretty shitty, really goddamn shitty actually and I liked Zombie & The Beyond.
