Wow, as little regard for this film as Warner has had over the years, I take this as a surprise.

Just curious if they will go with the usual 1.85:1 aspect ratio (previous DVD release stated it was presented in a Widescreen format presenting the "SCOPE" but I believe it was presented 1.85:1 instead of 2.35:1) or 2.35:1 since the film was shot in SUPER 35.

Mr Robert Harris if you are checking out the thread care to chime in on this topic?

yeah I expected them to release Femme Fatale before Bonfire ( also a Brian De Palma film)

Glad WB seem to be sticking to the older artwork.

This underrated picture has one of the greatest main title designs I've ever seen and there's also that classic book on its making (and unmaking), The Devil's Candy by Julie Salamon. This is a Blu-ray I'll be buying.

It was shot in Super-35 but composed for and released at 1.85:1. THE TWO JAKES (also shot by Vilmos Zsigmond) and THE FISHER KING were also shot this way.
I hated this when I first saw it but picked up the DVD cheap and was surprised to find myself enjoying it when I watched it again. I wish they'd release some of the deleted scenes discussed in Julie Salmon's great book, though.

Bonfire was always 1.85, even though those split screens are tight.
FF is not an owned title by WB, they just have/had distribution from the European producers.
Would be amazing to get the deleted scenes and maybe a commentary from Julie Salamon...
