A few of these are available: WHO'S MINDING THE MINT is now part of the Sony MOD series. JOANNA is on Blu-ray from the UK, as is ISADORA. There are no doubt others that have snuck under the radar.

HEROES OF TELEMARK was released on DVD by Sony/Columbia several years ago.

IMPASSE and DEATH OF A GUNFIGHTER are available as MODs from the MGM Limited Edition and the Universal Vault Series, respectively.

Louis is BACK. Awesome.
(THE MONEY TRAP is a Warner Archive title. Retitled THE WITCHES, THE DEVIL'S OWN, a Hammer film, has been on DVD since 2000.)

Indeed, and JOANNA is part of the BFI Flipside series, many of which are Region-free and all of which are dual-format...JOANNA, as it happens, is Region B.
You're not going to get a better package in the States unless, perhaps, if Criterion picks up one of these titles. At the moment JOANNA is available from Amazon UK shipped to the U.S. for about $20 and the last things I ordered from that site took about 4 days to get to me.

BFI Flipside has done an outstanding job with this as well as Here We Go Round the Mullberry Bush. I enjoy these features packed discs immensely.
Surprisingly-few of the above titles have seen other rehion releases. The ones Ive seen are The Sicillian Clan, Che!, Twisted /Nerve , Hello Goodbye. Im sure there are many others.
I agree wholeheartedly that a region free player can open up the choices to many of the films that nnever make region 1-but also how about the discs that are either the longer versions or havew many more features or are OOP in the U.s>? Brian DePalmas Obsession AND Phantom of the Paradise are exceptional -and may never reach these shores in such deluxe editions. Someone mentioned Candy being available in a much more affordable import release than our ridiculously priced OOP version.
Many of the 1966-70 titles have appeared as streaming alternatives on Netflix/Hulu/Crackle/Amazon-another way to see films we may never see on disc.

Exactly, which is why, much as I enjoy your jam-packed lists overall, I don't really see the point in listing films that have been released legitimately somewhere, even if that somewhere is not the US, particularly when said discs are loaded as is the case with the BFI, MoC, and Arrow discs. If I have something in a superlative edition from one of those fine UK labels, why should I care that the film's American copyright holder never saw fit to release the film on disc Stateside?
Of course, I'd prefer something without PAL speed-up, but I can, for the most part, live with it more easily than some folks here (Chuck comes readily to mind :)). The good thing about Blu-ray, of course, is that the speed-up issue is nullified.

Louis, was getting a bit confused with something to do with your lists - so, you don't want to know if a title has been released somewhere other than the US?

On the contrary-I EMBRACE the other region DVDs-and will lis them. As a moviebuff-like us all-I get very excited when I see a title from my past is available-whether it be legit disc, other region disc or streaming. I am LOVING this time...so much has been made available. Quality is indeed important-but seeing a movieI havent ever seen-or Only saw 35 years ago-on any format gets me excited.

If you look at the end of 1967s list you will see it there. Great movie! I'm sure Universal will make this apart of their vault collection.
HELLO-GOODBYE- I was mistaken , the one listed was a bootleg.

"The Hills Run Red" (1967) was issued on DVD by MGM in 2007.

"C.C. and Company" (1970) was issued on a cheap DVD a while back by Cheezy Flicks. But it's still Region 1.
