VSX 1021-K Question - HDMI Pass-Through

So I read through almost all of the 1021 owner's thread, and my answer isn't answered. Google wasn't too helpful.

Anybody know how to enable HDMI passthrough? My TV has HDMI control enabled. I heard that both devices needed to be able to do it. But what exactly is the thing that both devices need to possess to enable HDMI passthrough? Thanks! I just want to watch TV sometimes, not with the receiver on.

They call it 'Standby Through'. You have have to set CONTROL to ON; it's on page 43 of the manual.

Thanks Al, after a bit of fiddling, I figured out that it doesnt work on eco mode.. weird. But all is good now! Thanks again.
