Well, guess I should introduce myself.

My name is Gary, and I'm one of the few people in my generation that care about audio, whether it be car, or home.

Here's my setup.. what do you guys think haha?

Pioneer VSX-1021
Old DCM floor speakers / center
Pioneer HPM-40 speakers
Old Yamaha bookshelf speakers
Old Velodyne CHT-8 Powered sub

I know it's not much, but sounds okay to me.. smile.gif

Just one question though.

Anybody know how to simultaneously listen to tuner while playing say, an xbox? It is all connected with HDMI cables.

Thanks!

Looking at the manual I did not see any Video Select other named option to listen to one source and watch another. Video from the Xbox directly to the TV and then you could do what you want. Video Select does not work with HDMI anyway nor does zone 2.

I guess I'll just do a separate HDMI input.

One more question though. I have my cable box and bluray into the receiver, then into the tv. But the picture that comes out is incredibly crappy and sometimes goes in and out. Is there an option to fix this?

All are connected by HDMI.

Maybe you have a bad hdmi cable or a poor connection. Try plugging the components directly to the display to narrow down the problem to the receiver. There are many video adjustments in the Video Parameters menu but I doubt they would make a difference with the problem you're describing. Worth a look though.

Well, I think I found out why it was a problem. I think the movie was not actually in HD as it said it was and I was just too used to seeing HD.. haha.

Thanks for your help guys!
