Polk Audio vs Speakercraft In-Wall

Thread Starter
Ive trying to navigate the in-wall speaker market or should I say bazaar. There are simply too many choices for my nerd/geek mind to process. Ive sort of narrowed it down to polk-audio vanishing series and speaker craft (Aim ones). I like the "aimability" of speakercraft, but I think its more of a gimmick at the low end and both offer swivel tweaters.

I have a Pioneer 1021-K, which I think will work with just about any speaker. The right side of my room has a wall and the left is open to the rest of the house. I will have to go with in wall rectangle fronts, and in-ceiling rears.

Who else should I look at in that price range ($1500 for all speakers, 7.1)?

Thank you for humoring yet another speaker question!!

We have always like and used Bowers and Wilkens In-Wall-Speakers. They range between $250-$1500 great sound quality.

Parasound has some nice in walls. Well below your budget and I have also heard rooms set up with 8" car audio coaxial speakers in boxes built into the walls and those can sound very good as well, but keep in mind they will be 4 ohm and very efficient. I would pretty much say an external sub will be needed as well.
