HTPC Remote Mouse - Mouse Down button turns OFF TV

I have tried two different Remote PC Mouse controllers

Wireless USB PC Remote Control Mouse for PC

Wireless USB PC Remote Control Mouse for PC

Both seem to have the same problem that when I press my mouse down button on the remote, my TV turns off. There is a IR conflict for the mouse down button alone.

I'm using a Logitech Learning remote (learning the PC remote mouse) to control the PC and the Home Theater. Is there any way I could cheat a different IR code for moving my mouse down instead of the default one?

I tried to use the Numeric key 2 (for mouse down with keyboard event), but the mouse down with key pad is tooooo slow, and not practical to use. It will be nice if I could find a solution for the actual mouse down button to work with a different IR code.

Any kind of registry hacks/external programs which will take over the mouse control from the IR device? I would really appreciate your valuable response.

Thanks.

I'm not familiar with either of these remote solutions.   Is there a reason to not use a WMC certified remote?

Yes one big reason: I need to be able to move my mouse around to launch apps, copy/move/delete files etc.

MCE remotes doesn't have the capability to move the mouse on the screen.
