Yesterday, John Williams passed the great Alfred Newman for most Oscar nominations for a composer. This makes him the second most Oscar nominated person in history, next to the incomparable Walt Disney who, including his Honorary Oscars, has a whopping 64 and is probably out of reach for even the great John Williams. John and Walt have been responsible for much of the happiness I've had in this world and no one can give a greater gift than that!
