need help with 3d tv

Thread Starter
i just bought my 1st 3d tv and blu-ray player. i have a regular Denon receiver and one hdmi cable going to my tv. all my equipment is in a completely different room. previously i had my cable, dvd, and apple tv go through the receiver. from what i understand the 3d will not work going through my receiver. seeing that i only have one hdmi wire, does anyone know how i can fix this situation? running another hdmi cable is close to impossible.

If you can not run a new cable you will have to upgrade your receiver to one that will pass HDMI 1.4 for 3D. Temporarily you could pull the HDMI cable out of the back of the receiver and plug it in to the 3D blu-ray player and connect a digital cable to the receiver for sound only when you watch a 3D movie and then put it back for all none 3D.

there are some players that have two HDMI. one for the tv and one for the receiver. the panasonic 310 has it as well as the oppo 93.

Yes a duel HDMI out will work for an older system but not one that is in another room or closet where you can not run a new cable.
