There was an interesting article today in TWICE magazine today regarding the split between Monster and Beats Electronics.
I'm curious as what Noel actually meant by this "We're going for a different type of consumer, We're going to be more centered around the audiophile ... We're going to come at sound quality from a different perspective. It will resonate more with more mature listeners, business professionals [and] active sports with our iSport line. Luxury is a focus for us at the end of this year, so we think we can create even higher performance than we have ever done at higher price points."
Is he throwing the Beats line under the bus for not having great sound quality? I never bought the Beats line of headphones because I just never thought that they were the type of headphone that I would enjoy. I wonder what price point Monster will have for their new headphone?
Does anyone own the Beats headphone line? If so, are you disappointed by the breakup of Monster and Beats or do you think it is a good thing?
