What size subwoofer should i get?

I am debating what kind of subwoofer i should get. My room is 11x11 and the ceiling is about 9 feet. I was looking at these 2 from polk http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-10-Inch-Powered-Subwoofer/dp/B000V1MJRA/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1326588279&sr=1-8 or http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-10-Inch-Powered-Subwoofer/dp/B000P0528K/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1326588279&sr=1-3 Wouldn't a 10inch subwoofer sound better in a small room? Should i go with a 12 inch so i get my oomph woof from it lol, It will be used mostly for movies.

No. In fact the larger you go, the less the sub works. The less the sub works, the lower the distortion. I almost went with four 18's in my medium sized room.

Since one of your links is to a sub costing over $300 I will use that as the budget. With the HTF discount, this one is under $300 - http://www.lavasubs.com/12_inch/powered_home_subwoofer.html

You don't really need a large sub for movies in your size room. I love SVS and picked mine up on their B Stock (now called Outlet Specials)..just watched it every day until the one I wanted came up. This one would be killer for you...Just wait until the price comes down some on the specials. These ain't cheap but its a solid investment...
