Safelite-style repair for non-auto glass?

My mom has a crystal punch bowl that belonged to her mother, and she's sad that it has a crack in it. It looks exactly like a little rock chip you'd get in your windshield. Can it maybe be fixed by the same process? Would you take the punch bowl to a body shop, or is there a Safelite center or something? I can post a photo later if need be.

I would just call a local shop. I have a feeling calling safelite will get you nowhere. "not a foodgrade product" etc... I don't know much about glass but I am not sure the current safelite process (vaccum and adhesive) will work on something like that. It might just shatter under the pressure. Not to mention the need for a flat surface for their device to work.

But I would still give a local glass shop a call.
