I plan on being there, and look forward to seeing everyone again!

I'll be there, being a nutter as usual, camera in hand. I think Ron is organizing a dunk tank for me, $5 a throw, first come first served.

Sam--It's all for charity--put me down for $15 laugh.gif  It will be great to see you, Frank, Phoebe, Todd and everyone else again!

I will be there - and hopefully Joan will be too.

She is starting a new job soon and they may require her to be there a year before taking vacation.

If she cannot make it my youngest daughter is very interested in going - so hopefully an early substitution won't be a problem should the need arise.

Colin-

Hopefully Joan will be able to make it, if not your daughter is more than welcome.  Substitutions are fine until the last week or two when we need to submit the final list of attendees to the studios to get people pre-cleared to access the lot.

I'll be there. My wife is not coming as she is going to Cinerama's 60th anniversary - http://www.in70mm.com/news/2011/cinerama/index.htm with me 9/28-10/5. She can't take more than one vacation during the same month. I just retired so I can do whatever I want!

Well I guess I need to get out of my shell.......

I think I am actually going to go this year. I hope you are all easy on the Virgins. smile.gif

Will it be ackward going alone? I don't mind the room costs, but I don't want to spend a week feeling like a 5th wheel.

I am looking forward to this. I remember looking over the pics from the last one a wished I went.

Will it be awkward going alone? I don't mind the room costs, but I don't want to spend a week feeling like a 5th wheel.

I don't think its awkward at all.  My wife wasn't able to attend last year and probably won't this year due to the kids being in school.  It was great just hanging out with everyone.  I never felt like a 5th wheel.  There have been a lot of individual attendees that come back for multiple trips.

Kids schmids! That's what grandparents are for, am I right? I'm not missing out for a 2nd time, Mr. Gregorich! smile.gif Of course, there may have to be a "Girls Night Out" to Rodeo Drive or something spa-ish worked into the week's schedule to tempt me further....

That being said, everyone should feel welcome --- new, old, singles, pairs, fanboys, fangirls, gleeks, room for all! (to a max of 60, of course...)

Hooray for Hollywood!

I received my vacation approval yesterday .... so I am officially in. Thank you all for making me feel so welcome, I know it will not be the same without RAF, but his spirit will be with us. (If I win stuff we will know for sure smile.gif)

Annette....I will join you for "Girls Night Out" or anything else we can dream up to make a fun time for sure.

Jet Blue has not opened up October as yet, I am keeping watch, and flying into Burbank was such a pleasure...reminds me of Westchester County Airport near me.

Someone better hold Sam's camera while he's getting dunked.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone.

Right now the airfare from Hartford, CT to LA is $346. It was $312 a few days ago. To Burbank its $458.

I'm looking forward to seeing the old familar faces and also meeting some new ones.

I have signed up to attend. It will be great to meet all of you.

I'm in.

People who are attending solo may want to consider rooming with another solo attendee to split hotel expenses. The last couple of HTF meets I roomed with Cameron Yee, but he now has a girlfriend so that really would make me a third wheel!

It's been several years since I last attended a National HTF Meet!

With that said, I had an absolute blast at the events I attended previously (2001 and 2004 IIRC)!

I'm looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and also meeting some new folks.

The pre-event Road Trip from San Fran also sounds awesome, I'll certainly try to make that happen as well!

Looking forward to October already, can't wait to hear further details as they are announced!

Jim and I are most definitely planning on being there.  He'll be arriving via train in Washington from Michigan roughly a week before the meet, so we're going to fly down instead of driving.  He's been hearing about HTF and some of you guys for the whole seven years we've  been together, so it'll be good for him to put faces to names.  And me too, since I've only met Adam, Colin, Cameron and David in real life.

Looking forward to my fourth HTF Hollywood trip.

Colin,

Hope you have a great time! Unfortunately, I was late in finding out about this so I'm only on the standby list. Paula and I would love to attend again if there are any cancellations. We really had a lot of fun with you and Joan on the last one (except for that nasty "chocolate gun" thing).

Dennis-

It filled up way faster than we anticipated.  There is a wait list.  You can find more details here:

I remember the calls that were starting to roll in to Ron and I as people hit the airport.  Some TSA folks wouldn't allow them, others got extra attention but were allowed to pass, and others had no trouble.  I don't think anyone got the rubber glove treatment.  For those not in the know we got solid chocolate full size 44 magnums....

I hope to attend.
