BURBANK, CA (December 7, 2011) -- One of TV’s most popular secret agent duos is back for another season of intrigue, adventure, romance and fun with Warner Home Video’s (WHV) DVD release of Scarecrow & Mrs. King: The Complete Third Season. Available in stores March 20, 2012, this release will include 22 episodes of the hit series that features Kate Jackson (Charlie’s Angels) and Bruce Boxleitner (Babylon 5) as a pair of mismatched operatives working together to solve crimes. The set will retail for $39.98 SRP.
In the third season of Scarecrow & Mrs. King, American spy Lee Stetson (Boxleitner) and his housewife sidekick Mrs. Amanda King (Jackson) are truly partners now that Amanda is a full-fledged operative! Nothing is as it seems: Amanda’s new beau is linked to terrorists, the Agency’s founder turns out to be a triple agent, a utopian community is a cover for a terrorist plot, plus Scarecrow finally reveals the origin of his nickname. The biggest surprise is when Scarecrow and Mrs. King share their first real kiss – not in the line of duty!
“Scarecrow & Mrs. King is one of the shows most requested by fans for release on DVD. We are pleased to bring viewers another exciting season to add to their collections,” said Rosemary Markson, WHV Vice President, TV and Special Interest Marketing. She added, “One of the reasons fans love this show is Boxleitner’s and Jackson’s superb pairing. Their characters are very likeable and they share a wonderful sense of chemistry that just keeps growing as the seasons progress. Viewers are drawn to them and to watching how their adventures will play out.”
The award-winning Scarecrow & Mrs. King first premiered in 1983 on CBS and aired for four successful seasons.
