Newsstand finds, faves and bargains

Am I a new Newsstand fan?

Before today total iPad magazine subscriptions I signed up for since launch? $0

Today's haul of subs and back issues? Over $80

So yeah, consider me a fan =)

There's currently just under 250 mags in the collection, from around the world, they should go over that very soon. I dig that I can now subscribe to my two favorite UK photo mags plus Edge for gaming at a fraction of what I used to pay for them at Borders insane import prices.

The really cool thing is how mags have evolved since they first launched, you can now subscribe to the print magazine for many and get the digital version for free. Both Wired and NatGeo support that, but I went ahead and subbed to both of them tonight digitally, wish I got the paper versions with my digital sub smiley_wink.gif

So I'm interested in finding out whether you guys are as psyched about this as I am, and if you have found subscription deals for the dead tree versions that come bundled with the digital version for free besides the two I listed.

What do you think?

Edited to add:
Amazon print plus digital for $15 beans at Amazon:

I haven't read a magazine by subscription that wasnt free in over 10 years.

Magazines like newspapers seem obsolete to me.

Currently we have maxim and a food and wine mag that we get for free.
I'm tempted to go in and see what might be interesting though.

I think People magazine print offers the tablet version for free.

Just saw that Food & Wine is also free for subbers.
