The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Last Exit to Brooklyn on BLU will do it for me this week.  Maybe I should watch my well-hoarded laser disc one last time.  Took me forever to score that sucker at a decent price.

The Four Feathers is the 1939 version that Criterion is releasing on Blu-ray and DVD this week, not the 2002 version, though it sure would be nice if that one were to come out on Blu-ray sometime!

Doesn't Casper the Friendly Ghost: The Complete Collection come out on dvd this week? All 81 of Casper's cartoons are in the set, including his original television series (and one short never before released on home video) and extras. I'm very excited about it, as I've heard from someone involved in the set that it looks and sounds great!

Thanks as always for the list, Mike. I'll have a long list of reviews coming over the next few days: The Four Feathers (later today) and then Terri, The Tree of Life, Chuck - Season Four, The Bad Seed, Bones - Season 6. Sometimes these titles arrive all at the same time which makes getting the reviews out in a timely manner a trick.

Doctor Who: Talons of Weng-Chiang and Green Lantern for me this week.  Looking forward to trying out the Ultraviolet component of the Green Lantern Package.

After spending a fair amount of money in the last month, I'm happy to say that there's nothing for me this week.

Thanks for the prices though! smile.gif

I didn't realize Green Lantern was this week.  Okay, that should be it for the week.

Hopefully.

Just Casper for me. I have some stuff pre-ordered for next month, though...looks like another expensive month coming up!

And that link has now been added!

And Mike needs to run off and find out what Matt thought of that rather unusual film.

I take a two mile walk every morning around 7 a.m. Helps clear the head and think about what the day is going to bring.

Hopefully I can finish up this week's releases for me tomorrow with Bones - Season 6.

Just got in from an impromptu Wal Mart run.  They have a very large, four sided cardboard display with a ton of Paramount BD's for $10.  I don't have a complete list cuz the price tags are hit or miss, but I grabbed The African Queen, Sweeney Todd, Deep Impact, There Will Be Blood and Up in the Air.  This is a location I don't generally go into, so I don't know how recent/old the display is.  Anyway, figured someone might find the info useful.

Wow, Paramount BDs hardly ever go on sale.

Adam...I read the teeny tiny small print sticker tags and then scanned each of the five I got to make sure the $10 price was accurate.  There was a bin of $8 Universal BD's (Doom, Fletch, Mummy 3 and so on...nothing which caught my fancy) and then all the Paramount discs.  Believe me, I was shocked.  That's why I spent $50 more on BD's today than I anticipated.
