Noticed something new this morning in the forum posts: a series of upward gold arrows, and when you hover over them, they say something along the lines as "Toddwrtr is a screenwriter," and whn you click on them, it takes you to a User Reputation page.

Toddwrtr

Toddwrtr is a Screenwriter

  • Reputation520
  • Reputation Received7
  • Unique Reputation11

Just wondering what the numbers mean, as well as where it is pulling the "Screenwriter" info from.

You beat me to it!  I am working on a more comprehensive article, but the 30 second version is we turned on reputation this AM.  The basis for this is the thumbs up button at the bottom of each post.  If someone likes or appreciates your post they can give it a thumbs up.  Every thumbs up adds to your reputation score.  The bigger the score the higher the level (like Screenwriter) and the more award statues you get.   Everyone can see the statues and title of your level.  For now only you can click on your statues and be taken to a summary page that shows all the feedback you have received and left for others.  At some point in the future we may open this up to everyone else to be able to view.

Oh, ok. I was wondering if it was pulling "Screenwriter" from imdb.com, since I now have an official page there! biggrin.gif

Unfortunately we aren't that sophisticated.  Congratulations on your IMDB profile, I'll have to check it out.  Our levels go from Background to Studio Mogul.

How is the largest number (e.g. Todd's 520) determined?

We did a one-time scripted adjustment to members based on post count.  Since we have members with thousands of posts it didn't seem right to start them off at the same reputation level as new members.

It's a nice idea, but that would explain how I'm apparently a screenwriter too even though even I often consider myself a "hack" (in more ways than one). smiley_wink.gif laugh.gif

Certainly intrigued me enough to go back and see how I received some of my reputation bumps... biggrin.gif

So now I'm curious how things break out, as Patrick Sun has over four times my number of posts and he's still just a screenwriter. eek.gif

I guess it's true what they say about Hollywood. frown.gif

....but what I -really- wanna do is direct!

Hmmm...  Maybe I'm actually a screenwriter for . . .

. . .  TV sitcoms about nothing . . . smiley_wink.gif  Is there anything wrong w/ that (other than not being so great for a pickup line that I better not expect to use due to the WAF)? laugh.gif

Surely, that would explain my rep now . . . biggrin.gif

I'm still finding things that don't work on an iPad. Tis new feature is one of them.
I can gives a thumbs up but the comment box doesn't work. I can write a comment but the post bottom is dead and the X out of the window doesn't work either.
