Sons of Anarchy Season 4 - Page 3

Well, as is the case with the past few seasons, it appears that every other season has a finale that ties up all loose ends. Unfortunately, this season was one of those situations where we get more questions then answers... which is fine with me.

I really thought Tara was going to off herself, with the way she asked Jax and Gamme to tell her they loved her in previous episodes. I know that Tara is smart and probably has copies of the letters implicating Gemma in John Teller's death.C lay will probably let Jax know in some form or the other that Gemma is responsible for Teller's death as well.

I couldn't think for the life of me how they were going to keep Hellboy around for another season, but the writers developed a strong, feasible way for that to be the case. The question is... what is Opie going to do?

Everyone was wondering how they were going to do another season, I guess that's how. Not so thrilled with the convenient twist.

Now on to Justified 1/17/12 where plot lines actually resolve themselves.

It felt that way, as it did not feel like a season finale. And in this case, I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. While I kept thinking Clay is dead by the end of the season, I am actually glad it did not happen. Killing him in his sleep, would have been too good for him. But Jax did hurt him in the worst possible way.

The CIA thing just came out of nowhere, although looking back now, it would explain why Tara was grabbed instead of just being killed at the spot, along with Romeo telling Jax that he didn't hear anything about Otto being a rat. I am liking the little war brewing between Tara and Gemma, as I am sure there are copies hidden somewhere. Although not so sure about Wendy getting into the mix, as I am sure we have not seen the last of her in this show.

Tig is going to have major resentment now that he has been demoted by Jax. I'm guessing it was more due to his loyalty to Clay than the upcoming trouble that is sure to come to the club from LaRoy's gang due to his recklessness.

I did like the part where Juice was watching an episode of The Shield in his cell. Speaking of which, I keep hoping for dialogue exchange between the cast members of The Shield, which to me, makes it a reunion. And it came so close twice this season. smile.gif

I also liked it when Potter dropping all those sex toys in the town meeting and telling Jacob Hale why he did that. I finally realize after this episode, that Potter is not like Stahl. At least not now, for the time being.

A huge improvement over last season.

Yeah, Clay literally loves the club and his presidency more than life itself so knocking him out of his position was more cruel than killing him. It'll be fun to see him try to connive his way back into the spot in the next couple seasons.

That was out of left field but at the same time, I bet it had been planned all along. They just provided almost no clues to pick up on to guess that twist. I figured that Danny Trejo and Benito Martinez's characters would be in jail or dead with the raid on the gun deal but it's nice that they'll be sticking around. And with them being CIA agents, there will be an entirely new dynamic for them next year (including the fun of seeing the club get duped by the 'cartel' while Jax knows the truth about them).

I'm looking forward to Tig, who will presumably stick by the traitorous Clay and has presumably started a war with the Niners over Clay, finding out that he was basically conned.

Definitely.

What a strange finale. It seemed cheap to pull the whole Cartel/CIA thing out of left field, and yet at the same what happened after does set up the next season to be pretty interesting. Not sure how I feel about it, but I really liked the last scene with Jax taking the gavel.

For all the build up into what seems like gamechanger story lines I felt cheated by the finale.  I did not like the idea of seeing any of the characters leave, but it almost would have been better than the deus ex machina ending we saw...

^ I can see how people would feel that way but I'm way more bothered by Juice and Clay's fake deaths for the sake of a cliffhanger earlier in the season.
