Question About Charles Bronson Film The Stone Killer Available At Warner Archive

The Stone Killer 1973 is now available at Warner Archive. Could someone please post an answer to these questions:

1. Is The Stone Killer in anamorphic widescreen in its original aspect ratio? - Isn't the original aspect ratio 1.85:1?
2. How is the video and audio quality of The Stone Killer?

Thanks and God Bless!

I thought I'd seen every Bronson flick ever made - I don't think I've seen this one. I certainly don't recognize the title. What is the general consensus about the movie?

It's a good B-crime film with a long car chase, Mafia-style executions, and an office fire in a wastepaper basket. Pure 1970s. Blow-dried hair and everybody drives big long cars. Hardboiled and cynical and entertaining. Wide angles, swish-pans, zooms, and rack focusing. If you like Michael Winner's other films you'll like this one. I've been wanting to see it again for a long time but I ain't paying $20 for a DVD-R.

Bronson did Chato's Land for Winner the year before and Death Wish for him the year after, as I recall.

It's kind of all over the place plotwise but worth watching if you're a Bronson fan: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070736/#comment

One of my favourite Charles Bronson films from the 70's, The Stone Killer (1973). The long car chase is worth seeing alone. Jack Colvin, who a few years later would star in the TV series The Incredible Hulk, co-stars in this film.

I don´t understand why Warner is offering this title????

It´s a Columbia film and not a Warner Bros. film!

I´ve got the Code 2 DVD from Sweden and it´s excellent. You can also get the DVD from France.

The DVD is from Sony's "Columbia Classics."

Warner Archive sells all of the Sony "CC" titles, a distribution partnership betwen WA and CC for their MOD products.
