I don't remember the title, but it's a good movie. It's from the King Brothers and involves a little Mexican who raises a bull, then moves heaven and earth to prevent it from being killed in the arena. Like I said, a good movie.

Just found this is "The Brave One" and it's on DVD. This wouldn't prevent Criterion from doing it as well, though.

The film Pat is referring to is The Brave One, from 1956. (Thank you, IMDb.)

I would guess the artwork is referencing Almodovar's Talk To Her, but as I said, just a guess. I suppose anything with a matador or bull is fair game for guessing, but maybe that is just a bunch of bull. smile.gif

It has an interesting Oscar history. The listed screenwriter Robert Rich won an Oscar for his original story/screenplay, but there was no Robert Rich to claim the Oscar. Years later, it came out that the blacklisted Dalton Trumbo had used the alias Robert Rich to submit the movie. He was subsequently awarded his Oscar for the film years after the fact.

The Bullfighter and the Lady?

An interesting Budd Boetticher film.
