Cop Land: Collector's Series Blu-ray Disc

Respect turns to regret this November as Lionsgate debuts Miramax's Cop Land: Collector's Series on Blu-ray Disc for the first time.  A "knock-your-socks-off thriller" (CNN), this Director's Cut of the film is presented in 1080P High Definition and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio™ and features an incredible all-star cast including Oscar® nominees Sylvester Stallone* and Harvey Keitel**; Emmy®winners Ray Liotta*** and Edie Falco**** and dual Oscar® winner Robert De Niro*****.  Written and directed by James Mangold (Walk the Line), this version of the film includes ten additional minutes of footage previously cut from the theatrical film, plus deleted scenes, audio commentary, a "making of" featurette and a storyboard comparison. 

 

Garrison is a small suburban New Jersey town, known as "Cop Land," for the influx of New York City police officers that reside there.  Freddy Heflin (Stallone) has long-admired these officers, but partial deafness kept him from applying to the force.  Now the sheriff of Garrison, he uncovers a massive conspiracy among his beloved residents that could turn deadly.

Cool. I might have to pick this one up. I think I'm one of few who actually liked this movie.

I thought it was well received?  I enjoyed it and have been wondering when it would show up on Blu-ray.  For $10 its heading into my cart now!

It's certainly Stallone's best performance since Rocky, and I found it a really compelling film.

I think not many people were excited to see this, but those who actually did mostly liked it. I'm a big fan, myself.

Don't quote me on it but I think it was well recieved by critics but not a huge earner (though it was probably a relatively inexpensive movie). Like others in the thread, I think this is a really good movie.
