Groovy indeed. Thanks for the heads up.

Due to the terrible reviews, I never got around to picking up the first Evil Dead II release so I'm looking forward to this one. And I love Intruder so I'll grab that too.

It's amazing that we're almost 5 years into the Blu Ray format and this is only the first announcement of an Evil Dead double-dip!

Wow, another version of an Evil Dead movie. In other breaking news, water is wet.

Given how awful the DNRed-to-death Anchor Bay Blu-ray of EVIL DEAD 2 is, this will be a welcome release with a new transfer, plus Mike Felsher's work on extras via his Red Shirt Pictures label is second to none IMO so I'm also really looking forward to his new documentary along with a fresh transfer. Now, if only Lion's Gate could get ahold of Romero's DAY OF THE DEAD from Anchor Bay and give that a new transfer...

Don't forget Romero's DAWN OF THE DEAD. Anchor Bay's blu-ray of that title is pretty bad.

Now ?

Nownow ?

Is it the right time for a facepalm ?
or is it soooo 2009 to do a facepalm ?

better yet is anyone planning a reboot of the facepalm franchise ?biggrin.gif

I get the jitters now as i mentioned in another thread how there have been way way too many versions and quadruple dipping of this
awesome series.
And different extras from one to the other.

(sigh)
i do hope they get it right this time.Cause you know i,d like to .....you know buy it.Eventually
Again,i want them to even include the 30-min-short that was made to raise the finance for the first. For this and this only
i would allow any and all EE and DNR available because that footage looks like it was shot on that Fisher-Price PXL-2000

It seems that the young Raimi and Campbell went to doctors and lawyers that were mostly film buffs or who wanted to
invest in the film business.I guess the first film got made entirely based on this footage

Watch that volume.

Still no word on whether or not this is a new transfer?

It sounds like it will be a new transfer:

Lionsgate is aware of how dissatisfied people were with the transfer on the previous EVIL DEAD II Blu-ray, and are taking steps to solve that issue for the new edition.” Keep your eyes on this site for further details!
